Quebracho Yellow Extract - Quebracho (Aspidosperma quebracho) grows only in the Gran Chaco region of Argentina and Paraguay. Quebracho extracts are a significant source of tannin for the natural leather tanning industry. The tree is quite slow growing so it must be selectively harvested from carefully managed plantations. The Earthues quebracho yellow is most suitable for dyeing cellulose fibers, but it also performs well on silks and wool, yielding light red golds. This extract contains 72% tannic acid.
